Quapaw Area Council

The Quapaw Area Council serves 33 counties in central and northeast Arkansas (see council map). It is the largest private youth-serving organization in the state.

In 2000, Quapaw Area Council supported:

over 18,000 youth and 3,600 adults participating in the Scouting program,
the collection of 20,000 food items distributed to 35 community pantries through the Scouting for food program,
the collection of over 15,000 books which were distributed to local agencies through the "Books in the Attic" program.

The council operates the council service center in Little Rock which provides registration, advancement, Scout Store, and meeting services to all youth members, adult volunteers, and parents. The council also manages and maintains the Gus Blass Scout Reservation which is the home of the new 21,500 square feet Donald W. Reynolds Training and Conference Center.
